[POLL] - How many of the "Best Picture" Nominees had you seen?

Kelemvor

Lifer
The Nominees for Best Picture at the Oscars last Sunday were:

Brokeback Mountain
Capote
Crash
Good Night, and Good Luck
Munich

How many of them had you seen (theater, video, whatever) prior to last Sunday?

I love how the "Best Picture" nominees always seem to flop at the box office. Doesn't sound like the "best" to me...

I've seen 0 of them. And the only one that I even have a clue as to what it's about is Brokeback mountain beacuse of all the hype it gets. THe other 4 I have no idea what they are at all.

Best quality, not best box office. Otherwise, complete shite like Bad Boys 2 would be "best" picture.

Brokeback Mountain = Everyone knows

Capote = Brilliant author, one of my favorite movies is based on a book by him.

Crash = This one I may actually check out on DVD despite hearing both good and bad, subject is supposedly racism across ethnic lines.

Good Night, and Good Luck = George Clooneys take on the Edward R Murrow-Joseph McCarthy days.

Munich = The revenge exacted by Mosad against the terrorists responsible for the Munich Olympics killing of Israeli athletes. I really wanted to see this when I first heard about until I read what Spielberg (sp?) had done to it.

Muich was actually pretty good. I enjoyed it and it was thought provoking. The important thing to remember about all movies is it might be "BASED" on actual events it is rarely a true to life picture.

Good night and Good luck was actually pretty good as well if you are into that sort of thing (history" and again it's "BASED" on actual events.

I understand that it isn't just Moore who pushes an agenda in movies and if you go in knowing that you cazn actually learn alot and if you become iunterested you can do your own research.

crash and munich

crash was amazing, I love it.

little disappointed by munich because I was expecting more action scenes.

Brokeback: Nice scenery, pretty good acting (I could never kiss another male like that!), and an emotional story.

Munich: Wild ride, good acting and directing, long but left me on the edge of my seat for the last hour of it.

Capote: PSH was the whole movie, he was the great in it but the movie itself didn't impress me as much as he did.

Crash: I loved this movie from the momment I saw it, great acting cast and the stories were well played out.

I would have still given my vote to Brokeback simply because it was a great breakthrough movie that people in this time would most likely always remember. Giving Crash the win made me happy, but also made me remember when Shakespear in Love beat Saving Private Ryan, which I didn't agree with %100. Still, it was a good choice and should get more people to see it now.

Saw the last three:

Crash
Good Night, and Good Luck
Munich

Good Night, and Good Luck & Munich were really great movies!

What did he do to it? Did the Mossad have walkie talkies instead of guns?

Oh, and I have watched 0 movies in the theater in the past two years.

Voted 1, but I'm a liar. Have seen Crash and Munich.

Munich was an awesome story. Some people didn't like it because it was long, but it didn't bother me. And Crash sucked. There were a few ok parts but it wasn't groundbreaking.
