I don't see the point of having more than one unless you're a developer or something.
I really enjoy being able to have product comparisons side by side, surf the internet with two full screens, play games with the voice chat windows and winamp still in view... The personal producivity gain for me has been limitless. I also run remote desktop to my server and in full screen mode, that can obstruct the view of lots of other things too. With dual monitors or more, you never have to let something important out of sight. I love em 😀

you should try it out

LOL 4 people use 5 or more.

come on, you know these guys are bs'ing. it really pisses me off that a few people just answer crap like that without even making something up in a post. I should just delete that choice. nobody here has posted a case of 5 displays, let alone a pic.

There are quite a few quad cards out there, but most are PCI and have only 8 Megs - 16 Megs per output. We use em at work all of the time.

Currently we have a rackmount system that has 4 Enseo PCI cards and one dual-head AGP. 14 outputs on one computer, but of course it is not my main box, so I voted for 1. I have a 21" Nokia, but I am going to add the Gateway VX900, Viewsonic A70, AT&T 17", and NEC 1525x that I have laying around. (sooner or later).

In a recent poll, we establised that a vast number of ATOT'ers use more than one monitor... In fact, it was almost split.

I'm curious specifically how many monitors each of you use on your primary boxes, and how you distribute it- I've heard of all kinds of permutations...

I just changed my radeon pci xtacy 9100 to a radeon pci saphire 9000 to pave the way for my entrance into the realm of triple monitors. Primary Samsung 955DF-T/T on 9800, 2 secondary Samsung 955DF-T/T's on the 9000. 3840x1024.

Any other takers?

I did, i said 100.

i have two 22" Viewsonic flat screen CRTs

i really hate using single monitor configurations now, i like being able to drag something over to the other monitor... much more productive that way
