I've read it in my free-time (have a copy sitting on top of the nightstand next to my bed). I also read/studied it in Catholic (jesuit) high school. we were required to take 4 years of religion classes, 2 of which were devoted exclusively to the bible and the tenats of the catholic church (another year was on world religions, and senior year we got to pick what we studied. I took a course on bioethics and religion, and psychology... not really sure why that one counted as a religion class, though :p)

pics because I've got my camera out and I'm bored: night table, bible

Twice....I don't keep one around though..so boring about who begat who at the start...zzzzzzzzz

Then a bunch of stories with no basis in historical accuracy from second or like 40th hand quotes....

The mormon bible I have read also along with that pearl book...shudders...
big racist bit in there between these weird brothers who became mayans or something..

Read the koran twice, lot of story rule stuff also...better battles

I prefer eastern stuff to read..lot of good ideas there IMO...less preachy rules more of the celebrating of life...

Still atheist or something..but I like to read about peoples cultures though, I meet people from everywhere...

12And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.

13And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.

14Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.

15Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.

Ok rip, or robert or someone........explain this one....I remember that one too...

I really want to hear someone try to explain this even if it's not a christian...plz?

It sounds like some sick-ass german pr0n I found ages ago on like 8mm film...gag...

sold it to some metalband 50$ for stage stuff....yuck!

I dare someone to print that out and ask your church thingyperson the meaning of it...post back sunday or whatever....

(I don't want to hear to ignore it in some way....ask them wtf. it's in there it has to mean something if they pick and choose from that same book) church sanctioned gannon or whatever it's called..

I think in some areas of the world people use animal dung to build very hot fires. Cow dung burns at 900 degrees celsius, or some such absurdly hot temperature.

Gosh you don't have to step all over something you don't understand. That's just plain ignorance, stubborness and arrogance in the comments you made.

Read it right through at least once, read multiple parts multiple times, did school courses that covered both section (Old/New), read Revelations more times that I can think of, read dozens of books about it. I've probably read it more than most Seminary students.

I am tempted to say I've read the whole thing, but I can't say for sure. Never read start-to-finish though, so not positive.

I am curious as to why you ask.

I put that I've read about half. I am sure that it was more, but I figured that I would error on the side of caution.

Loki, I am soooo jealous of you. I noticed the bottles of Yeungling and almost teared up. I moved from Pgh to Mississippi and haven't had one since! :(

Read all of it when I was in Catholic school. I like that Jesus guy, how come more people can't be like him?
