For anyone familiar with Vancouver :

I live in Port Coquitlam and work downtown. Whether I drive or take the West Coast Express it takes around 1 hour to get there sometimes more when coming home. I go to school at SFU and it takes 20-30 minutes. I am sick of commuting and I want to move to Burnaby or E Vancouver.

Me, me,me :D

Hey Mucman, I think I talked to you before I moved out here. I live in the Kits area of Vancouver and commute to SFU. Takes me between 30 and 45 minutes. Not to bad as I'm going against traffic.

I've always worked in the burbs and lived close to downtown. Yeah I could save some money and commute time by living in the burbs but no thank you. I prefer the atmosphere of downtown. Like the idea that I can jump on the bus and be downtown in 10 minutes.

So Mucman what's with all the snow on Burnaby Mountain. I thought it did not snow in Vancouver ;)?

cyclistca - You picked a nice place to live :), I would love to live in kits but I can't afford it unless I was working full time. I really like West 4th, lots of great shops there! Port Coquitlam is nice if I could work there... really small town atmosphere here and very family orientated.

So there's a little snow on the hill... It is technically in Burnaby not Vancouver :p... What are you taking at SFU?

Oh yeah! My memory is going on me... That must be a pretty sweet place work... unlike me (downtown east side :)) Are you at work right now? It is snowing like crazy on campus, but the intersection at the top (Gaglardi and ring road I guess) is just raining.

4 miles, ~12 mins to school. A lot of my friends make it from a lot farther away (10 miles+) because they go earlier, and don't have to deal with the 2 school zones and traffic lights that I deal with (one traffic light in particular it takes me 3 cycles sometimes to get through!), oh well, its not too bad..
