I know there are a lot of threads, but not a single one asking how long it took to vote!

So how long did it take? Me, it took about an hour and fifteen minutes from when I got in line to when I made it into the voting area, and then another ten minutes or so to get my ballot, fill it out, and turn it in.

I didn't wait, the check in even had the book open to the page with my name on it.

Took an hour, I was there when the polls opened and the line was out into the parking lot already. Oh well, I scribbled in my circles and vote.

I waited about five minutes. In my precinct, the lines are long when the polls open until most folks have gone to work (bedroom community) so I took the morning off and went hiking. I voted at ~10:30am and there was only a short line.

Edit: One thing the poll workers did that sped things along was that they had overflow tables set up so that if the voting booths were occupied and you didn't care if others might see your marks, you could sit down at that tables and fill out your ballet w/o having to wait for a booth. We use paper optical-scan ballets.

That's what she said!

...

I waited long enough for my wife to finish checking in, and we voted standing side-by-side. We parked, voted, and left, all in less than five minutes. :)

my wait was about 10 mins, tops.

my gf went to the polls when they opened at 6... she had to wait 1 hr. i decided to go to the polls after 9, when all the parents and working people are off to work and didn't have time to vote. my strategy paid off.

Less than 5 mins for me. In that time I got to look at the hot girl in front of me. The entire process took less than 10 minutes.

Less than 5 minutes. What's scary is that the people didn't even ask for a ID, photo or not.

I could have been anyone.

No wait for me just had to find my name in the book and I got to vote. It is days like today that it really pays off to live in the sticks. I voted around 1:30 central time and I was number 264 for the day. That is heavy turn out for the sticks lol.

5-10 minutes, I was expecting long lines seeing all the cars in the parking lot but they made things very smooth and fluid inside.

No wait whatsoever.

I just walked in and voted, there were a few people at machines, but many others (machines) were unused and available.

We have *early voting* here, and IIRC our newspaper ran a story saying 40% of our registered voters used early voting. Betwen that and absentee ballots, seems most had already voted so no wait at all for me.
