Sex is important in a relationship -- for those that say it isn't, you're in a fairy tale. You can't justify an affair though, no matter what. Like someone said before, if you're unhappy then leave and get it elsewhere when you're divorced.
While "failure to engage in normal conjugal relations" is an official legal ground for divorce in the United States, it's not justification for affairs.
