[POLL] How good is your toilet at home?

I was having a discussion with my coworkers, and some complain about their toilets at home. They say the low-flow one clog often.

I disagree. I have new low-flow toilets at home and I've only clogged them once in the last 6 months.

So, here's a Poll! Do you have forceful toilets? Or do they clog?

I have a old school toliet at home in my apartment. It takes everything I throw at and begs for more. I don't even own a plunger because I've never had a use for one.

You could flush a german shepard down my toilet. J/K...I have the new low flow toilets. They clog pretty easily. I've got to do something about the one in our master bath. It is making a moaning sound as the tank refills.

My toilet is the standard flush toilet from the 70's. I just put in a new "super flow" flapper and that water level thing without the ball. It flushes extremely fast and doesn't clog often.

Never had a clog and I've had some big dumps that I was sure was gonna clog it, just takes it right down, funny part is my water pressure in my apartment is complete sh!t also.

Water pressure doesn't have much to do with flushing. It's mostly toilet design.

hum, welll the water level in the bowl is pretty low compared to other places I've lived, this is a pretty new apartment complex and I'd assume that its a low flow bowl, but haven't had any issues up to this point.

Mine clogs occasionally, but not very often. It's a strange contraption though...I've never seen it on any other toilet. Inside the tank is another, smaller plastic tank that attaches to the outer tank on each side by means of a pivoting rod. This fills up via a spigot that runs between the two tanks and ends above the inner plastic tank. When you flush, the inner tank is tipped over and dumps water down into the pipe leading to the bowl. It seems to be a good combination of water conservation and power, as the falling water seems to hit the bowl with more force than your typical your typical flapper design. Plus, it fills up extremely fast for those pesky double-flushers! 😛

I can't seem to find any info/images of this design anywhere on the net though...

standard 1.6 G toilets are pathetic

i saw a TV show demonstrating a good 1.6 G toilet that actually works, they run about $500 retail

if a $$$ fairy drops me $1500 anytime soon, i will replace the 3 crappy standard toilets in my house with these good toilets

I just moved and the toilet in the basement bathroom is horrible. I have taken a total of 2 dumps down there and it clogged both times. It's not like I use that much paper either. 2 pieces and it's done for. My old apartment toilet was great. It took whatever you threw at it.

The only time mine clogged was just after we bought the house. After I got rid of the water I found a ring of keys down in the trap.

Since I removed that, I haven't had any problems. The house/toilet is ~20+ years old.
