I buy 2 to 4 loaves at a time, usually, and keep one out on the counter and freeze the rest. With 2 kids, we go through a lot of bread.
 
Fridge. Doesn't mold for months. Yes, sometimes it takes me months to finish a loaf.
 
The loaf thats currently being used is on the counter, the loaves in storage are in the freezer.
