I voted:
I wouldn't do it, but it is no big deal to me

As long as it is stated....... Otherwise fraud!

I would definitely not do it on e-bay, but if the buyer knew it was pirated, that's another story ;)

stealing and then selling anothers work for profit is seriously low.

ebay seems to condone it, they don't really fight it. i've seen pirated sh*t on there forever.

I don't buy sh!t like that on eBay, so I don't care. ;)

Edit:

I guess that's not true, I bought the Prelude Factory Service Manual on CD-ROM off eBay, but it's not like I expected it to be a factory-pressed CD.

10 bucks for it. I think I'll start making copies and selling them for 5. ;)

Ebay is notorious for being EXTREMELY slow to presecute its sellers. Well, as long as ebay is getting their money. As soon as issues of them not getting their cut come up they're quite fast to act from all that I've gathered. I saw a site listed here a couple months back that chronicled ebay fraud, and there were cases where people were running verified rackets with actual counterfit goods and ebay did nothing about it.

I actually did buy one thing of ebay knowing that it would be a knock-off. It was a burned VCD copy of Night of the Lepus. But that was only like $5 and it's a movie that could not be bought otherwise at the time.

Simply not true. Eb* will jump on the a** of a seller very quickly IF the seller is reported. This is because eb* uses free labor resources by online tattle-tales who have nothing better to do than work free for them; they have like 3 paid employees who actively scan auctions and needless to say that is not enough. That being said, it is a lot more difficult to report someone than in the past since you are forced to use the web based form mail which is a major PITA and discourages all but the most hard core tattle-tales from reporting someone.

There is no difference.
The original product isn't any more or less stolen just because you charged.
The original creator isn't out any more or less money.
