Poll: How do you rate my system? Could you deal with it if you owned it?

Just wondering... since most of us here seem to have stupendously fast systems! I like my system a lot, anyways... hehe.

Close to mine, a P2-450 and TNT-1. Soon to be replaced with a 1.2Ghz Thunderbird/DDR and a Geforce Ultra!

That's a great system! A zillion times better than mine, that's for sure! I would not like a TNT though, I never liked em, especially the original TNT. But the rest is nice, and I suppose it does a great job for what you do, even some games.

Very nice ram, and good HD, must be fast. I'd run Win2K if I could though, as opposed to Win98SE, although that's the next best thing.

I am running Win2K SP1 as my primary OS - does my system profile say this... I may have to edit if it doesn't.

is all good man! unless you are running photoshop. you got enough ram to do most stuff. "no cd-rom" hehe just like mine! i wish i have a faster read speed from my dvd-rom and cd-rw. some time game load too long from it.
you might want to get a good sound thou.

its a great system. You could easily pop in a new p3-850 or 900 and it'd be top notch, but for almost all the type of stuff that I do i couldn't even tell the difference between my athlon 800 and that. I'd notice the monitor most.

Having the 1 mbps T-1 line available to you more than makes up for what isn't a terribly slow processor anyway. A fat internet pipe makes up for a lot. I know people that are still running old Compaq 120Mhz systems on a dialup modem to AOHell... now that's painful. Your system seems okay to me.

I would start by trying to overclock it.


and definetly a new graphics card, its no good in photoshop work, you need a card with better 2d
