You're losing to your wife, just because some spudnuts on this board pronounce it like an English butler with a stick up his ass? I bet the same ratio people pronounce etcetera, ek-'se-t&-r&. Does that make it correct?

For some reason I read "stick of butter up his ass."

I was like 😕

Carmel is a place in Cali. Love that place

Caramel is a candy. Pronounced like it's spelled. C(long a)r(short a)mel.

Not car-mell with emphasis on the second syllable like the place, but car-mul, with emphasis on the first syllable.

Well, that IS the proper way to pronounce it. Just like Kenya is pronounced "keenyah" 🙂

...how do you pronounce Caramilk? Car-milk?

I'd have to hear how they pronounce it. I'll always remember the Kraft caramel apple commercials. The narrator pronounced it kar-mel, not kar-a-mel. That's good enough for me!
