they are all terrible IMO. My family owned a 76 ford maverick, just retired it about 5 years ago. that was my fam's only good experience w/ an american car, and we've owned several my bro had a saturn that actually has 200k miles but had some serious transmission issues w/ it and now the engine is gone, and my dad probably repaired our plymouth voyager and paid more attention to that than me when i was growing up LOL. That thing would break down every month, i swear! my dad also spoke of owning some old dodge and chevy sedans back in the 80s and they were all just as crappy... he swore never to buy any american branded cars again.
this thread probably isn't the place for my rant but here it goes...
I hate it when people say you're "unpatriotic if you dont buy any of these american brands", half of these cars are made in mexico and canada now! a camry is more american than a mustang nowadays =)
i want to cringe every time i watch football and i see that stupid chevy commercial that shows 9/11 and katrina with a chevy truck in the background to try and evoke patriotic feelings to buy an "american" car... I feel that they've (american car companies) used that tactic so much esp after 9/11 to get ppl to buy their ****** cars to "support their country" and it makes me sick to the stomach. i hope someone else agrees with me!
