Ok, I got a power supply powerful enough to melt thick solder (I have proven this), variable current limiting from 1-35A and variable voltage 0-20V. It's linear, not switching, rack mount, about 4-6" tall, and weighs about 100Lbs.

Do I bring it into the house with the rest of my test equipment or leave it in the garage?

Adul - as if someone is going to bust into the garage and drag away a 100 lb. power supply...

leave it in the garage, unless the dwarvian mechanics are restless ...

Demon-Xanth - this sounds like the kind of power supply that will burn your house to the ground.

Leave it in your garage because you don't want to have to live in there...

leave it in the garage, and park ur car infront of the garage, rite up to it, like a foot away, so they cant open the garage door.

More info:

The power supply was free
The garage has a roll up door
Getting stolen has nothing to do with the decision (although I would love to come home and see a thief killed after he tried to run down a flight of stairs with it)

Leave it out of sight in the garage.

Drop it on N.Y. if they elect the carpetbagger.

Dammit, you guys aren't making it easy. It's a 3 way tie for house, garage, and trying to sink NJ. (and no, I'm not gonna ditch a perfectly good power supply). I just wanna know if I should leave it in the garage or put it in the house w/ my other test equipment. :D

Because I'm the kind of person that I am, I think you will make the best decision.

:confused:Confused?

House, Garage, House, Garage.......

If it's something you don't really care about getting a little dusty, keep it in the garage. If you plan to clean and polish it lovingly before you go to work each day, you'll want it near to you:) -kd5-

I hope you know I'm just joking.....
