[POLL] - Hot Dogs

Can't beat cooked on a stick over an open campfire for me. The taste of a hot dog that way is just awesome.

After that I guess I'd choose the grill followed by the microwave.
Never boiled though. Ick.

Fire/grill is definitely the best method, dogs are greatly improved with a little char on them. I'd take a microwave over boiling because they come out about the same, but the nuke is faster and easier.

fire, then deep fried (crisp those bitches up)

a local place deep fries them and has some really, really great chili they put on the dogs. the dogs are cheap crap, i wish theyd use better ones, but the chili is worth going there, and at less than a buck a dog, its hard to argue against

not much of a hotdog person. more a sausage person.

I would put ham, pomodoro, mozzarella on a hotdog in a bun and microwave 🙂

Had that for the first time on a ski slope in Argentina back in 1990. I still make it once in a while.

Used to love them when I was young though, corn dog, dog cooked on roller machine or carousel, or just plain boiled.

when indoors i always boil my frozen hotdogs, never tried microwaving them.. hmm how do they taste compared? how long in the microwave?

I know its wrong (though not as wrong as ketchup on a hot dog) but I actively do not like hot dogs grilled unless it is cooked with almost no char. That being said my favorite is pan/griddle fried.

If cooking from frozen, I go 10-15 seconds at a time and turn them so they can somewhat thaw evenly.
If from the fridge, then maybe 30 seconds tops and they're done.

Hear me out here, please. I would prefer to grill anything. I would also prefer to pan fry hot dogs. Hot dogs are already fully cooked, you can eat them straight out of the package if you want.

I prefer to stick my hot dogs under the broiler, that way I get a good crust.

-edit-
I voted on the grill because a broiler is just an upside down grill.
