I just thought about making one then stopped myself.. they are usually not funny. I'm sure someone will weakly try to parody this as well.

I've done exactly 2... in the first one.... about 20 people called me an asshat before it got locked.... in the second one the Mod locked it before anyone could comment.... AND called me an asshat.

Yes. They all made me laugh so mission accomplished.

One of them wasn't so much a parody as it was a parody title with an entirely random terminator versus the predator fight. The others were all quite forgettable.

Just one. I thought it was good, but it was locked. That hit me unusually hard, and I started drinking alot. And then came the drugs.

I made one that I thought had really kept the spirit of the original. I changed the thing 100%, yet the words I used had the same look, feel, nearly the same number of syllables, etc as the original (as if you are parading a song, you cannot add words or many syllables). I thought the end result was quite funny. Unfortunately, people here just won't give a thought to the effort that goes into good parodies. They blindly say parody = suck. That simply isn't true for some. Of course the majority bomb since they violate the spirit of the original post or they have no humor at all.

I'll use this thread as an example of my parody rules. I'd want to see something like this (note humor is missing so this is a bad example, your thread just doesn't lend itself to good parodies):

Topic Title: Poll: Have you ever ate a parrot head?
Topic Summary: did it suck?

Poll: Have you?
[*]Yes
[*]No
[*]I toss it in flour.
[*]Having gas is so smelly.

Post: I just thought about baking one then stopped myself.. they are usually not tasty. I'm sure someone could easilly fry a parrot head as well.

Thats not funny in the least. And I dont think anyones every parodied me. I try to keep myself parody free?

Like I said in my post it isn't funny. So it isn't a good example. I was trying to give an example of something that had the same feel and the same style as the original post.
