i'm sitting in class. professor is booooring. we have internet access, so i pass the time by reading OT. so, fess up.....anyone else do this (or have done this)?
All the time 😉 When you have classes as long as I do, you need some diversion while you're sitting there waiting for the completely blithering idiots to figure out how to use a mouse, let alone how to actually do anything on their computer.
It was so bad that our teacher shuts the power off now and prints out our notes. He used to pull the plug for the internet feed but that didn't last long. We setup a dummy switch so when he unplugged the wire, it wouldn't affect anything. It worked great until someone messed with it and brought down the teachers computer...
Heh... I got through in ANY of my computer classes so much faster than anyone else, I would get all my computer info update stuff done for my day during it. e.g. hardocp, then anandtech, then ATOT, etc etc
We had a UT2003 day at the end of school, but I skipped out b/c the computers don't run it worth a crap. Of course the morons in my classes don't know the difference between a TNT2 and a Radeon 9700 Pro 😉
