Tae Kwon Do for just over 2 years straight. Got to Red Belt (2 below black) and then got burnt out, moved, friends stopped going, etc.. I still do their version of Cardio-Kickboxing every so often but no actual TKD classes.

I 've been interested in a good Jiu-jitsu school/trainer in the south jersey area, to no avail :(

I took Tae Kwan Do for seven years....forgot it all now.

How long have you been out of it?

I took Tae Kwon Do for 3 years, but only got up to a Blue belt. I stopped doing it about 9 years ago, though, and I can't remember any of the advanced forms anymore :(

How suprising that most people have never practiced at all or did less than two years of martial arts.
<--- went to school in the Ghetto and got into plenty of fights, if someone wants to resort to obsolete male impulses from a thousand years ago and want to screw with me now I pull out my tire iron or pick up any swingable/throwable object in sight. ;)

No pain no pain, there is no "honor" in fighting only a winner and a loser. ;)

While i agree some of them are outdated. But in Hap Ki Do you actually learn something that is usefull in a street fight. It is rather brutal in some of the moves. The idea is to end the fight as fast as you can with as little damage to you.

Uncle trained in the ways of the Shaolin monks.
I never really desired to learn any martial arts. Fetal position it is for me!

Took a little TKD and Judo when I was younger. Loved Judo, didn't care for TKD. I keep promising myself that I'm going to get back into it... But I can never seem to find the time.

Kudos to those of you who have stuck with it. I think martial arts are a very valuable skill.
