Poll, have you ever been to band camp?

I went to band camp for four years. Its fun and a good time. It depends some schools have actual camps..some just call it a camp and have practices everday for 2 weeks before school starts. I played the Tenor Sax and it was a great time. No orgys..

Our band camp is like 10am-3pm (the one the first week of august), but it's at our school, we don't go anywhere. I guess it's not really band "camp" but thats what the band director calls it.

We had band "camp" in high school, which was basically 8-8 every day for the week before school started. I played and still play the tuba (now in my 3rd year of college).

Yes. Played trumpet in Jazz, Marching, and Concert Bands in high school. Played French Horn and cornet briefly as well

yep, I was a band jock and I loved it. Lots of close friendships, great memories. It helps that our school is a competing marching band school, so we did lots of comps, state finals and then nationals as well. I played the clarinet...and yes, I was section leader. 😛

I play tenor sax but no, never went to band camp and I doubt I would want to go there...

6 years of doing band, jazz band, and marching band were good enough for me!

yeah our band camp was li8ke 9-8 everyday or so for two weeks out in our school. what competitions did you compete in. We were in TOB and won the championships 2 times

I went to Interlochen Music Camp about a million years ago (piano). There was this obnoxious kid there named Marvin Hamlisch who thought he was way better than any of us. We played a lot of practical jokes on him. Ah, those were the days.

I went to band camp for 4 years in high school. I played tenor sax 3 and was drum major my senior year. Yeah the memories of band are fond🙂

Well, I figured out the downside to the kids being @ camp, our cat won't leave me alone, he's usually been asleep with the oldest kid for a couple of hours, I can't get rid of him:frown:
