Yup, got a week once. A mod had alluded to the fact that they were "ageless" and "older than time" or something like that in a thread. I then made a joke about the mods being old in another thread, and apparently a different mod saw it and banned me, no warnings.
I realized it was kinda dumb on my part so I just sat out for the week, no biggie.

How do they determine the length of your vacation sentance?

I don't know if I would call it a vacation. It was more an assumption of guilt without questioning me.

It had to do with the mods being concerned about the welfare of the traders. They were concerned that the integrity of the trading forum would be compromised. Apparently someone, whom I suspect had an axe to grind from another forum, alleged that I had a tight relationship with one of the past thieves. However, it was far from true. I was fond of the scammer at another forum he frequented. However, when he committed the crime I was one of the few persons with information to help track him. I wasn't that close to him . . . I was just fond of him with his girl threads. He was basically a lot like Grasshopper. He disclosed too much about his personal life . . . and he was very showy about his relationship. He made me laugh often 'cuz I thought his gf was all imaginary. And it didn't help that her name was so close to spelling "alien". ;)

Anyway, so the mods trusted the allegation and didn't interrogate me. (I have to question that really 'cuz it hardly makes sense.) They were concerned that we were close enough for me to compromise my account, so he could use my account to trade. Ironically, it had been about 2 years since I last spoke to this guy. And I only knew him at another forum.

At the end, the matter got resolved. The weirdest part was the fact that I've never and never will trade at any forums that I frequent. I've only done business at auction or trading business sites.

You also have a chance to roll a saving throw versus "Ban of Doom". ;)

I am invisible to the mods.

Except once, when my cloak slipped and the caught a glimpse of my hairy ass. :Q

And if it ever happens again, we will turn the Epilady Mod loose on you.

Good stuff in this thread!

I think the Mods must be workin' pretty hard to keep things straight around here.

Maybe I'll start a "Mod Appreciation Day" thread. :D

You have no idea how difficult it is to watch over this forum. We are only allowed breaks when the Administrator comes around with the key.

February 30th would probably work for most folks here.

Not a chance! I used to be an Administrator of an EZboard game forum. You think people sometimes act like children here... I was having to delete/edit threads left and right over there before I gave it up and let someone else take over.

I respect what the Mods go through. It's not all fun and games. :)

As a former administrator of an EZboard forum, I can say I have an idea what you Mods go through.

Except this board has like... 1,000x the members my board did! :D

I suppose it's probably pushing it to ask if the mods get any benefits with the position.... ;)

I suspect they get to make funny Mod Edits, and that's about it.

Not banned, but I did an "in before the lock" which got me a warning. Still don't think it was my fault. I blame that spirit with the powerful bouquet that is dominated by overtones of oak, giving way to reveal a delicate scent of hazelnuts.
Smooth and floral, it combines the sweetness of red fruits with a hint of vanilla that lingers on the palate. <hiccup>

I got a week or two (don't remember) for "thread crapping". It wasn't.

Not yet for me, but I was told by a mod to "grow up". It hurted for a day or two. I haven't had a single thread locked since. whew.
