Inspired by a comment in the airport security thread:

Have you ever been a passenger on a commercial airplane?

If not, is there a particular reason?

I have been on airplanes a ton in my life, both for work and vacations.

Yep. But had a co-worker one time who was scared to death of flying. She flat out refused to fly for business when it was required of her, she would drive. Needless to say she never had any international travel when it was required of her.

Best experiences were when I'd get to ride in the corporate leer jets, that is so freaking sweet.

So basically you're asking "Have you ever flown on a commercial flight before?"

Is this a poll to weed out the financially underpriveleged? The phobics? Are you GEORGE ORWELL? ARE YOU WATCHING US ALL? WTF MAN????

If you were really cool, your poll would ask "Have you ever succesfully stowed away/snuck onto a commercial flight before? If so, where did you go?"

But your poll doesn't ask that. Therefore you are uncool.

I've never had a reason to leave Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York...

Therefore, never been on any airplane, commercial or not

I have been on a helicopter a couple times. They are pretty fun to ride in (I even got to sit next to the pilot once) but I definitely felt more likely to die than on a commercial airplane.

I began flying as a passenger on my own starting at 8 years old (going to visit my Dad in Mexico). I had flown prior to that with family and I've also flown in small, non-commercial aircraft. Never been in a choppa though.

Many times.

Only once outside the U.S. though... all the way to Toronto. :)

Outside of the U.S., I have flown to/from Mexico City, London, Tel Aviv, Athens, Istanbul, Dubai, Hong Kong and Tokyo (I am sure there are people here who are much more well-traveled than I).

I have never flown to Canada though (crossed the border and back in a car once).

I fly in helicopters a lot, generally S-92's or EC225's but i hate it more and more every flight... those things have absolutely no leg room.
