So, were you ever banned before? If so, what where your charges and the story behind it. (if safe to post that is, dont go for another ban in this thread!).
 
I received a ban for posting a parody thread. It was the only parody thread posted at the time, and there were no others related to it. Apparently I just wasn't cool enough for whatever mod was on duty that day, and it didn't just get locked like other parody threads.

A similar thread existed a few months ago on this subject which brought great enjoyment and embarrasement to the membership.

There is no need for another.

yeah, one time- was drunk one night a few years ago and for some stupid reason I wanted to see what it was like to be banned...so I made fun of a mod. It worked.
 
I've been banned for a thread wayyyyyyy back. Those were my younger days. Probably something like 6 years ago. I posted an IM log with me rejecting a girl to a dance.
 
Yes, quite recently...for posting CasioTech's website since he had removed it from his sig. Only 3 days, so I got off light (according to the Mods).
 
Yep. I mentioned a humor website (I didn't link to it) that had installed porn banners since I was last there. One month vacation.
 
once for a week in a mass ban for nested quotes about that woman who was kidnapped as a kid and just stayed with her captor for years and then suddenly told someone at the grocery store. everybody made a gigantic quote nest of 😕
 
I was banned for a month once for referring to one of the mods as "the Nazi mod". I don't even remember what the thread was about...
 
I did once for a thread I think I was talking about a movie? I view anandtech as "work safe" regulated boards. All the freedom of speech and crazy posting is done elsewhere...at least I know I can always read aandtech at work and not read anything too crazy..
