No.
Consoles still sucketh compared to my mighty PC.
I purchased an xbox, played Mech Assault a few times, put it back in the box and returned it.

Maybe. A guy I know modded his and turned it into an emulation machine. Name a game he's got it on his XBOX. I'm thinking about buying one to do this, it'd be cool to be able to play any Atari, NES, SNES or MAME game whenever I want :D

You know you can do that on the PC too right?

Bah.. To me, "console" means a direct serial port terminal connection to a router.

Yeah, you can brag about it to all your friends in 3rd grade.

The Cube is for playing games, many of them the exact same game as the other consoles, people with "bragging" issues are better served by the xbox.

No, the Cube is for playing games that Nintendo makes. Nintendo exclusive titles. All other games are better played on an Xbox or PS2.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Cube, but it doesn't dominate anything.

That's just BS. Each console has it's advantages, it depends on what a person wants.

Maybe. I gave it a little thought for a few games like Evil Dead - Fistfull of Boomstick and the Buffy games. (The dead must die!)

...but I'd be as likely to get a PS2, since it also has the console RPGs. And then I look at the stack of PC games I haven't had time to play yet (Freedom Force, Arcanum, NOLF, ...) and decide to stick with just my PC for now.

No, there are no Xbox-only games I want to play.

The only console games I'd like to get are Final Fantasy X and X-2, but I won't buy a PS2 just for two games.

Going to be the third time I bought an Xbox.

First time I sold it. Needed the money bad.
Second time traded it for a PS2.
