While I'm sure SNL has had its moments over the last years, although I'm baffled to remember any of them, SNL really nosedived after the Not Ready For Prime Time Players ensemble broke up. Just was never the same or as good, at all.

they should just play kids in the hall all day and stop at night for south park and the daily show. everything else on comedy central sucks now.

Both MadTV and SNL have some funny skits and some really stupid ones.
But SNL really has sucked far more over the last 5 years at least.

If MadTV would get rid of the Stuart skit, I'd watch it far more often than SNL.

SNL sucks. Mad tv is usually pretty funny and they know when the jokes over.

madtv is really dumb comedy compared to snl. maybe its great if your iq < 60. if not though, it pretty much sucks.

147 here. I don't put a lot of stock in it though or I wouldn't be broke.

MadTV has utterly rasict humor which is in now way fit for television. My God, some of the stupid jokes in there are beyong terrible.

That makes some of the best comedy. Probably one of the funniest things I've seen in years is the Chapelle show with the Blind white supremacist. The world will be a better place when racism is thought of as a joke.

MadTV is FOX Comedy....which is just plain stupid.

Fox is one of (if not the only) channel you can find truly funny shows.

If Colin Quinn could say more than two lines without tripping over his own tongue I might give it a chance. But until they get rid of the SNL Headline News reject and get somebody who is a) actually funny, and b) can say a line without fscking it up I avoid it.

As far as shows on comedy central - Insomniac is probably my favorite.

Comedy Central runs KiTH Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 3:00pm and every second Wednesday of the month from 2:00am to 4:00am (wonderful timeslot I might add

)

Terrible timeslot for a terrible show. If I wanted to watch a bunch of kids forcing stupid voices in completely un-funny plots I would watch, well, Kids in the Hall.

But what do you expect, they're from Canada.

While I don't like Colin Quinn at all, the rest of the people on the show usually make up for his inability to be humorous.

The older (6-7 years ago) cast of SNL made for near perfect comedy. The current cast is laughable (not in a good way). I still can't figure out how Horatio Sanz is even on the show.

Comedy central is (was) good for the following shows, in this order...

South Park
Chapelle Show
Insomniac
SNL

Actually, the fact that SNL had constantly been on Comedy Central for years made it feel like it was the ONLY thing on there at times. I used to watch Comedy Central all the time too, but over the last few years was starting to get burned out on it because SNL was always on (plus they were starting to get into mostly showing 'recent' reruns from the late 90s and early 00s which mostly aren't in the same caliber as earlier stuff IMO with the exception of a few skits.)

MadTv and other additions of their own like the Chapelle Show, Insomniac, and Reno 911 have actually got me watching that channel a lot more the last year or so as it's something good and different.

The guys that talked about the recent SNL and saying no should've read my post. Comedy Central didn't have the rights for the recent years of SNL (2 or 3 years might be longer) E! did. I barely watch any of the recent SNL but I love all the old shows. I think ever since Tim Meadows left(2000) the show went straight downhill. The only reason I would watch recently was Will Ferrel and when he left I lost interest in SNL. Of course still catch it occasionally but wouldn't be dead on watching it like before.

Just sucks I can't get my daily SNL fix anymore. For those that say E!, last time I checked they are only rerunning new episodes. Which the only laugh-out loud episode was Conan O'Brien as THE MOLECULAR MAN!!!! and Right Said Fred! 😛

South Park is still good, I don't have cable at college so I don't know the current state of comedy central. Reno 911 was horrible, so is the trigger happy tv. Does anyone watch Most Extreme Elimination Challenge it's like Mystery Science theater but with a Japaneese game show, so funny.

I was thinking more along the lines of any reality show they show, greg the bunny, the pitts, etc etc. Just terrible shows.

I'll second and third that motion! MST3K and Kids in the Hall are two of the best comedies of all time. I don't think anyone even runs either of these shows on tv anymore 🙁 I know you can buy some (if not all) of the epis on DVD but it's much cheaper to watch it on tv. Oh well, maybe someday...

Dude kids in the hall is still on, two episodes a day. But your right, that is a classic show. Sadly there world concert tour really sucked. But atleast we can have our memories
