Inspired by this thread, I've hit my company's content filter several times in one day before and have yet to be called out on it. I guess nobody is watching what I browse?

Anyone been caught before?

A few times isn't even a blip on the radar. You'd have to continuously bash against it and make it obvious you are trying to defeat it. We use ours more for total time surfing nowadays.

I had a case where they started tracking the sites an employee was browsing after repeated warnings.

He was frequenting amputee porn sites.

Ewwwww!!! My eyes!!! What has been seen cannot be unseen.

I'm sure you "reviewed the evidence" multiple times.

Fortunately, I only had to look at a couple of them one time ("One time, Johnny.").

Our office is excluded from the corporate filter. However, this doesn't mean I can just go and watch porn... Though once I did have to get permission from management to look at it as part of my job.

I'm always around it due to my position.

That said, because of the nature of one of my previous jobs it had to be acted on once or twice, but that was from gtalk sessions, not hitting a bad site. For most companies, the only reason this information is kept is in case they want to get rid of you for some reason in the future.

Yes, I have - but didn't get in trouble, as I explained what happened.

They did call me for downloading a file from an FTP site in France - which was actually icon files from DeviantArt ... thought that was weird.

I don't think we're filtered, although I haven't pushed it. Nothing beyond ATOT and some other forums.
IT does keep an eye on heavy bandwidth usage. A few times people have been called out for torrenting stuff.

I'm a network engineer, and one of our customers is a well-known adult dating site. In this case, I had to look at webcam traffic to determine why the app was sending tcp resets, so I needed an account in order to observe the issue and capture network traces after reproducing the problem.

Depends which office I'm working in as to whether or not my traffic is via proxy/filter, but no, I've never been reprimanded for triggering a filter. Voted "I am excluded from the filter."

I'm not sure I've ever worked at a company that had one...

Excessive chatting, or the content of the chats?
