The financial angle of capital punishment almost always comes up but you have to ask yourself: is it appropriate to discuss money issues when deciding whether a person lives or dies? It should be a judicial matter, not a financial one. Idealistically, of course.Originally posted by: Jellomancer

As for capital punishment, for rapists and murderers, it is definitely the only solution, we must be certain that they NEVER do it again, and life without the possibility of paroll is absurdly costly and has the same affect as death.
