all I know is Brian Klug has pretty much nothing nice to say about the gsmarena review, and I trust him/AT a heck of a lot more. I'll be waiting for both reviews from AT.

I think at this point we have all dug threw the whole internet researching the heck out of these phones and now it just comes down to what phone you like better and seeing them in person.

lets try to keep the tech specs out of this thread as they have been beaten to death already and everyone knows exactly what each cell offers.

I think AT's review will heavily influence my decision, but I can't shake off the bad stigma that HTC has... I'm just afraid that 18 months down the line we'll stop seeing support for the device altogether. And with a locked bootloader and integrated battery, it's usefulness beyond the first 2 years will diminish greatly :(

Neither but if I were, the HTC is way, WAY more desirable than the S4 which doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

of the two, I'd go with the HTC one. I've been using a nexus 4 and have had no issues with only 16gb and sealed battery. I only keep phones for a year anyway, so 2 years of support is a moot point for me.

I dont want to have any issues. The prior s2 and s3 in the house have been solid and reciewed nice upgrades without any issues, so i will take the s4. Besides i like a bigger screen and ligther at the same time. I use my phone as tablet so ergonomics is very important. I look forward to a sharper screen and slighly bigger than my s3. The one looks great though, but looks is of less importance for me. Its not a difficult choice for my needs.

Details? I don't see what's wrong with the gsm review. Plus it beats AT's apparent policy of "If it's an iPhone we'll do a full review, anything else will get a quick peak and maybe someday get a review."

I've weighed them heavily, and the S4 offers much for me. After all the hype, the One's camera was the deal breaker. Not everyone use their phone solely for Facebook photos. Megapixels DO matter for good photos.

I'm very interested in seeing Brian's opinion of the One's camera, as he was pretty enthusiastic about it initially.

On one hand I don't want to support the behemoth Samsung has become, along with the cheesy, shiny plastic and ugly TouchWiz.
On the other hand, ifixit's teardown of the HTC One is discouraging at best. It pretty much punts the DIY methods to the curb. And finding a guy that can do this and assume the business risk will be difficult.
If you're going to make a device with an integrated battery, at least make it somewhat serviceable to a tech.

That is very odd. So even when you put a case over a phone, the physical material that you can't see or feel still bothers you? It must suck being so sensitive.

The design being horrendous is a fair opinion, one I don't really agree with.

he's been discussing it on twitter a lot. fwiw his One review is apparently over 16k words last he mentioned.

somewhat related: i picked up my Nexus one for the first time in about a year, since i'm using it as a secondary phone on upcoming travel. Damn, that phone has the best in-hand feel i've ever felt, even better than my N4. HTC knows how to build a solid phone.

You can still feel material through a case. A metal chassis is much less pliable than plastic, so unless you're using a truly hard case, you can still notice the differences.

Not to mention, metal has a little bit of heft to it. It gives you a firmer hold.

Fwiw AT completely dropped the ball numerous times with Android flagships, so until we see some consistent reviewing from them my opinion won't really change.

This doesn't make any sense to me. The better battery life, processor, camera, and screen probably make up well over half the reasons the S4 is the better phone so why leave out specs on a discussion of which people prefer? It's like making a thread asking if people prefer the Radeon HD 7970GE or Geforce GTX 680 but telling them to try and keep discussion on which is faster out of the thread.

Because these specs have been debated with in so many threads and by now people know what there pretty much getting.

I am getting the gs4 and I don't have to list its specs over the htc one on why Im getting it and Im sure the others that are getting the gs4 already know why they are getting it also, same goes for the htc camp

This poll is about the phones about to finally come out and what your buying for the people that have made up there minds

This thread is essentially a thinly veiled troll bait thread. I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise.
