Gotta be romans. The greeks were a bunch of disorganized nutjobs. They were both pretty cool though.

The Romans, because the Romans pretty much built off of what the Greeks had already accomplished and they made their empire greater than Greece ever was.

better civilization ?

civilization is defined as . . .

a society in an advanced state of social development (e.g., with complex legal and political and religious organizations)

then the greeks far outdistance the petty (and barbaric) romans 'cause not only is most - if not all - of roman thought predicated
on greek philosophy, greek philosophy is western civilization, i mean all of western civilization. the italian renaissance, and by
consequence the french and northern european revitilization in art and learning, happened because byzantine embassies to
rome re-introduced ancient greek learning.

Weren't the Greeks just independent city-states while the Roman were actually a single cohesive empire (well, at least til the end).

They were united under Macedonian rule. King Phillip III headed the Delian League, and pretty much controlled all other Greek city-states. Phillip was the one who actually set the stage for Alexander's great expansionary campaign.

The Romans were far superior. The Greeks may have been smarter, but intelligence doesn't make a great government and strong military. Look at us!

The Greeks had many great mathematicians, so I'm going to say Greeks even though the Romans were pretty damn sweet.

Zeus was way more of badass than Jupiter.

Sorry. Zeus was whipped bigtime by Hera though.

Yeah, well at least Hera didn't share a name with a lousy ISP *cough* Juno *cough*
