Poll: Got a good haircut? Did you leave a tip?

So i went to get my hair cut, she took her time and cut it pretty well.
I paid the 15 bucks and was about to leave when i saw another lady leave a 4 dollar tip for her sons hair cut, i kinda paused because this was the first time i've seen anyone tipping for a haircut.
I guess i could of left one because she cut it well, but she was with someone else and it would of seem kinda stupid to say "oh sorry i forgot your tip" so i left.

BTW, I almost always tip for haircuts. I dunno why. I almost always use the same person, so I feel bad.......Plus I always thought it was expected, like tipping at restaurants.

yes
ALWAYS tip the person cutting your hair, if you don't tip, DON'T go back to the place/person ever again

Usually around $10 for the cut, and depending on how good the cut is, how conversational they are, and how nice the hair washing was (mmmm.....) I'll leave between $2 and $8 tip.

yeah. i usually pay 6 dollars for my haircuts, and leave a 2 dollar tip if its good

$6?? That's cheaper than BoRics!

well when the name of the hair cutting place is "The Hair Corral" what do you expect??/
pretty decent cuts too. i've been happy with 'em.

Shabby,

Did you honestly not know that you're SUPPOSED to tip the barber/stylist? That's been common knowledge since day one. I'll bet you've been wondering how come every time you go back they do a hack job on you, huh? That's because you are a cheapskate. You are so tight, that you squeak when you sh1t. You are so cheap that you requested a refund on the electricity when it took 65 seconds to make minute rice. You are so cheap that....well, you get the idea. 😛

YES you are supposed to tip the person that cuts your hair. UNLESS, they totally do a hack job. My haircuts cost $8. I always give the man a 10-spot and tell him to keep it. He is very happy and takes EXTRA time with me when he cuts my hair. Does all the little things like powder your neck afterwards, brushes the hair off your face every few minutes, etc. People who tip well get better treatment than cheapo people do; that's a well-known fact.

While I don't agree with the way tips are used in today's society, I will usually give a buck or two tip if the barber does a really good job.

I tip every time. With my work schedule it's almost impossible for me to schedule an appointment in advance and sometimes I have to travel for work with almost no advance notice and need to get a haircut before leaving. If I call and there's no appointments open, she'll stay after closing to cut my hair.

I thought not tipping the person who cuts your hair is like not tipping a waitress? I ALWAYS do it.

I get my hair cut at a salon. And guess what ... I am also a GUY 😛. But wanna know what? I get the normally $35 haircut for FREE[/]b. The guy who owns the salon is a 29 year old very successful man and I am friends with him and his girlfriend. And his girlfriend cuts my hair for free 😀

ANd yea, I tip her like $5, sometimes more if I have spare cash. And if she isn't the one who washes my hair, then I tip that person a buck or two as well.

I pay $12 for the cut and usually tip $3. They treat me well as a result.
They are also a bunch of old Italian guys and I'm afraid I'll get whacked if I don't tip.

I learned to tip the barber from a young age--my mom would take me to cut my hair cut, pay for it and then give me a couple dollars and tell me to give it to the stylist and say "Thank you for making my hair look nice."

My haircuts are usually $10.95 after $2 off coupon, if I think they did a really good job then I usually leave a $2-$3 tip and ask for them in the future.

A new car or new house, everything else can be had for cheap.

Even tampons.

I thought a tip was already included in the 15 dollar price tag.... honest 🙂
I guess i will start tipping now, but first i gotta find a REAL barber, i've been going to the same place for some time now and i never see the person who cut my hair last.

RossMAN can you give me one of your coupon codes? 😀
