I think the Bible has a really good explanation of God and why God made this world/life the way it is. Makes excellent sense to me.

No, none of us do... Jesus wasn't a &quot;person&quot; in that sense - He is God. Taken human form, and resurrected. He ascended into heaven. He lives today. That is the truth.

My personal view is that anyone who says they believe in God rather than go to Hell when they die (thus believing in him out of fear) doesn't truly believe in God. they question it too much in their minds to truly believe, but just don't admit it too themselves. I've also noticed that the more you think about the possibility of God not existing, the more likely you are to stop believing. It's because once you question it, you can't stop. Thus my point is that you can't believe in God and think at the same time (j/k no offense)

In point of fact, it seems rather obvious that if God said it, that settles it, whether I believe it or not. The great majority of the nattering about God, pro and con, on this board does not mean diddly-squat, since it has no bearing on His existence or nonexistence and is highly unlikely to influence anyone to change his opinion or lack of same. I suggest that we debate religious matters one-on-one, in person, with individuals who are willing participants in open discussion, rather than wasting our pontifications on the same Off Topic Forum where nekkid nudniks cavort and a major subject of discussion is whether or not Britney Spears' chest is homegrown.

How can you not talk about religion when the subject is God? My god is that slab of beef between my legs that drives the ladies wild.
