Hi, This is in regard to the July25 Gforce3 Roundup on Anandtech.
This artical almost put me off from getting a Geforce3!
I have a 21inch Trinitron, I used a Diamond Viper TNT on it at 1280*1024@85MHz, the 2D was very crisp, and for the time, it was good 3D too. I had a Creative Lab GeForce2 32MB DDR Annihilator2 GTS.
It was much, much better at 3D, and the 2D was I think a bit better.
I have never used an ATI card before, but after reading this artical and how bad the 2D was on some GF3's I was very put off from dropping my $600 CDN on one to find it was worce than my old card.
Well I took the plung with a fall back plan of 15% restocking fee.
I got my New Asus V8200 Deluxe GF3, and it is the same not worce for 2D, and well the 3D is killer..
I have my Res set to 1280*1024@85MHz and it is just fine.
I guess if I had an ATI I could compare the different 2D.
I agrea it should be much better on a GF3, but it is still good, and I am very picky with my monitor display.
The GF3 is worth the money.
