Poll: Geez... MSI have really cleaned up their act!

Just popping in a post with my opinion.

Microstar have gone from one of the "middle-class" manufacturers right up into the top tier market.
What do you guys think spurred this act on, because they're definitely putting out better boards than before.

Let me know of your thoughts... The poll up there is between different mainboard manufacturers and who you think the champion is.

not having too much experience with other brands I will have to place an "undervote" here(please don't try to discern my will if the vote comes out badly for your chosen mfg) 😀

I will say this, I didn't think I would be in the market for another MSI board after this
POS 5169 socket 7 board I have now.. But the Turbo may be my pick for my next system. Gotta check out the KT7A-RAID from ABIT and make my decision!

I always thought they were in the top three ,& now probably no.1 in my opinion.Asus have always been the favourite with most people but they do seem to have lately more Bios problems then other brands.

🙂

ChipNOW, this seems like a tough crowd here at anandtech. I posted a few topics trying to get a nice thread going. I think the most replies ive gotten is my current post in off topic of 23.

Hang in there though 😉

I Think MSI has a good chance of getting my money. I just want to get all he facts this time before running out and grabbing something im going to dislike later.

TTT.
So far, MSI has a handy lead, polling 50% of the vote, Asus is coming in second with 30%, 10% in front of Abit on 20%. Gigabyte, Transcend and Iwill are yet to poll a vote.

It is strange though, that while MSI is very popular with computer enthuasiasts here, all the software techies I know, refuse to buy any other motherboard than a Asus board. You can tell them whatever you like, but they refuse to listen! 😉
