Where do you have the start button at? The left-most? The closest to the center? How do you have it set up?

I just happen to be testing surround view in my new rig today with 3 monitors. The one on the left is Primary with the "Start" button.

Link

Left to right:
*22" CRT, 17"analog LCD, 55" HDTV RPTV Widescreen.
*1280x960 85Hz, 1024x768 60Hz, 1920x1080 30Hz
*1)X800 XL Primary VGA, 2)Xpress 200 VGA, 3)X800 XL YPbPr

Surround View driving 3 analog displays with seperate Refresh rates and resolutions.

Quake3 running on #1, FOX analog with Sapphire Theatrix using MPC on #2 and MCE displaying "Less than Perfect" in HD using the HDTV Wonder in 1080i.

I've had it up and running for a few days now, and so far, I'm impressed. Nice feature set for a decent price and some functionality not easily reproduced by other means is handled easily.

Edit: Fixed link and added info.

Cool.

(FYI it seems it won't show the image unless you're logged into the forums there...I had to remember my password from way back in the day when I used to post and lurk there...:p)

Can you Fullscreen 3d games on monitor without issue? I run dual displays with my HTPC but when I try to run a 3d game fullscreened on one and video on the other I wind up with artifacts.

I can run games full screen on this setup, it will affect the secondary montor if a video is playing on it (it pushes the desktop over to the right when a game goes to full screen on the primary), but monitor #3 will still work fine running MCE. I'm still testing different combinations, so I'm not sure, but I saw no artifacting in Q3A, (its not particularly demanding and is using OpengL)

To get rid of the pushing the screen over bit you just have to set your monitors resolution to the same as the game will use before fireing it up. As for the artifacing, I had the issue while trying to play oldschool CS and watch a dvd at the same time, but then I was using both outputs of the same display device at once. I suppose if you are using seprate cards for each that could help.

You're right on the resolution, geez, I should have thought of the game resizing the desktop. I've been trying to figure out why I can't enable both my CRT and TV-out (at the same time) with my Xpress 200 chip, seems like they won't work together, only one or the other.

Here's a shot of Doom3 full screen @ 1600x1200 on my CRT on the left using X800XL Primary, with MCE 2005 playing live TV on the LCD on the right using X800XL Secondary.

Didn't see any artifacting, and it worked just fine. I'll try a DX game and maybe some other video like a DVD.
