Poll: For those of you who back-up your DVD's...

I bought a -R because the media was cheaper. about 3 months later I got a +r because the media was cheaper, but I have not installed the +r yet.

So having only used a -r, I will say I have had better success with the -r 😛

I have only bade 4 coasters though, out of <a ton> of DVD's. of the 4 coasters, 3 were my fault because I was stupid. the other was a bad disk.

I did have a pain in the ass burning through a pack of 50 -r's from TDK. it was a PITA to get the drive to recognize them. I stick with memorex now, and just wait for them to go on sale and I buy 50 of them at a time.

Every single disk I burned with the exception of the 2 I tried in NERO worked in my DVD player. This DVD player has to be the most finikey one on the planet. ( Ibought another for use in my zuk). It is a DVD & VCR deal.

I enjoy making my own DVD's for shows I taped of TV when I was a kid that will never be out on DVD. I like making the menus the most. my sealab 2021 dvd (all of first and second seasons on one disk) is my fav so far, even though I don't really like 2021.
 
-r, but i just switched to a dual drive as there always seems to be better deals on +r @ b&M. ie compusa: 15 pk of 2x tdk dvd-r for 20.99 OR 15 pack of 4x tdk for 20.99

Same here iamme, then I'll have to run this poll again because there's supposed to be + & - versions again!

 
I voted -R, but I really can't say the most success..... I bought my 4x dvd-R burner when it was $200. I couldn't see shelling out the money to buy another burner so I could burn +R's on it just so I could try the other when I wasn't successful with the first one.
