Poll: Football player or Basketball player?

I was having a little argument with my friend, salaries aside (basketball players make more), injuries aside (football players here), and your body structure aside, which would you rather be?

I would personally rather be a football player, being able to crack someone really good. And nothing is better than running through a gauntlet of defenders.

My friend on the other hand likes the dunking, one on one and none stop aspects of basketball...

So which would you rather choose?

edit: WTF? Why can't I see no poll? Damnit... I think I messed up, how do I go back to add a poll?

Well, I've played both in game situations (not pro of course) and I like the rush of football more. Football also seems to be more of a team game. It's next to impossible for a single player to take over a football game in the same way that Jordan could do in basketball. I love the physicality and teamwork of football, so that's what I'd be.

Play a real sport, SWIM!

Actually, I'd prefer to be a football player, it's a little more aggresive.

You know what... I wish I knew how to swim, best exercise, and doesn't really damage your body in anyway. My main sport is wrestling, and training in the water does wonders. A few of my teammates did so, but I can't even tread water, so it kinda sucked. I looked like an idiot with my life preserver everytime I was over at some kid's pool or the YMCA.

And yes, I've tried lessons, for two summers! Still no luck. If I go on my back and just lay there, my body is a full inch underneath the water...

Basketball. Non-stop and you can show off a little more ;)

And who ever said Basketball isn't a contact sport? :D

Oh no, basketball is DEFINITELY a contact sport. I'm just saying that you don't go out there with the intention of hitting the guy or tackling him down...

So no one knows how to add a poll back in afterwards?

For me, i'd rather play football. I did both in HS but was better in football because of my bodytype (5'7" but squat). It was tough keeping up with the opposing guards throughout the game due to my size.

However, if I were to excell professionally then Pro Basketball has it all over football because of the salary structure. From what I understand, Pro Football contracts aren't guaranteed whereas Basketball is. Pro Football seems much more cannibalistic because of this.

Absolutely Basketball.
I think it is better than just tackling bunch of guys, runnning for 15 sec, then tackling again. No fun.
But again, this is just an opinion.

samarth, if you are really good, it'll be more than 15 seconds :D

And have you ever tackled someone? Feels damn good!

Football doesn't have alley-oops and no look passes (except for Farve maybe).

Definitely football. ANY sport that a tiny slap on the hand isn't illegal, for that matter.
