would you rather get lots of food, at like an olive garden, or go eat at a really nice restaurant where the portions can be finished in like 5 bites? if money wasn't an issue of course.

i'd rather get lots of food. there really isnt a huge difference between great food and good food to me.. s

i'd go with quality.

i love eating and enjoying delicious food. i have some friends who scarf their food down without enjoying it. i cant' do that.

Well, since you are referring to the extreme end of the bell curve, it's hard to say.

I'm sure thoes would be a great 5 bites. But, I eat to be filled up.

nice poll.
Quality for sure. Thats just a myth, really it should be "cheap and gargantuan portions of slop or well-prepared expensive journey of taste and richness"

I don't mind saying I enjoy both on occasion.

wait.. i voted quality, but will i get full eating at the nice restraunt? i think i still rather have quality than quantity.. since money is no issue, i'll just order like 3 entrees, and that'll be a lot AND it'll be hella good

well, ok, you get a two bite appetizer and a five bite entree at a nice restaurant. i dont know, can you get full from that? i know i cant, thats why i'd go for quantity.

Food is food. Temporary enjoyment of food is quite trivial for some people, and as long as it isn't vomit inducing, I'll eat pretty much anything. I'd rather be full than have to make small talk to everyone else at the table as to how delicious the meal was, on an empty stomach. 20 minutes later we'll all be eating desert(which is the real treat) anyways, forgetting about how the chef spent 35 minutes preparing the meal of his life which I'll be passing later in the evening.

Olive Garden tastes OK to me, but it's been a couple years since I've ate there.

Since I'm doing the calorie counting game, I'd prefer quality

if i had to pick one, I would pick quantity, however, there are lots of places where you can get both.

It depends ... I'll go with superb quality if I have a little snack before hand. Otherwise, I need quantity to fill up. :)

then what is "quantity"? i wouldn't call Olive Garden low quality food.

when i think of quality vs. quantity, i think of eating a 6 oz Filet Mignon or 16 oz of ground beef.

I'd have to lean for quantity, because the gormet foods are often prepared in a way that masks the natural flavors of the main ingredients that I love.

4oz of filet mignon or 32oz of bile soaked tripe seem more like opposites ends of the spectrum to me.

whats wrong with getting both?????

it is possible for a restaurant to have both quality and quantity

i feel that there has to a mix though... quantity dosent win hands down.. however you need a little quality.. i dont eat dog food :p
