I used to be so far in debt I never thought I'd ever be able to afford a car. Once I learned some basic personal finance principles, I got things turned around. I have a nice positive net worth today, but I wish I had back all the money I totally wasted back then. (Prime example: stuff I bought on impulse, used once or twice, and never used again.)
