I have seen a lot of post with people claiming overclocking to 600MHz.
What CPU/Bus combination are you using? My FIC documentation doesn't have
6x multiplication. Is there an undocumented 6x multipler option? or do you
get 600 from something like 5.5 * 112?

That's what my father is running, but his processor is for laptops, though. Hence, it's an AMD k6-3+ 450. Notice the plus sign. He's got his at 5.5*112, with a pretty big no-name HCF on it. Same mobo as you mentioned, too.

Personally, I had the same setup he did before I built this rig, and I could only OC it 550. That's probably due to the stock HCF I had on it, though.

set the x to 2, the processor is mapped internally to run @6x when set that way.

adjust the vre and or the FSB for a little more performance and you will be good to go.

good cooling is a must.

that 503+ is limited to around 112 FSB max, some have run the 124 the board offers, maybe a 4.5x or 5x times the 124 might work, but I doubt it.

it has been awhile since i had a 503+, it would be nice to play with the K6 III+ on this board.

good luck,

Okay maybe I need to be a little more specific
CPU: K6-III+
BIOS: JE4330

Works fine at 100 (x5.5) = 550MHz
Works fine at 112 (x5.0) = 560MHz (though bios reports 556)
Works fine at 100 (x2.0) = 600Mhz (bios says 166???)
I'm running the third option right now guess I have find
a ware to benchmark the performance
;)

MrRodent: Glad you clarified. I was going to tell you there is no way you'll get 600MHz out of the original K6-III 450MHz on a 503+ mobo. (Or any other mobo for that matter.)
