*IF YOU PRIMARILY WORK WITH AN INTEL MACHINE, DON'T GUESS AT AMD CHIPSETS. LIKEWISE FOR AMD OWNERS.

*Nvidia isn't featured in the Intel chipsets because it is too new. Likewise with ATI on the AMD chipsets.

Never had a problem with Asus.

I have an AMD machine with Nvidia, although SiS looks promising, we will never know until it hits the shelves, so until then, I'll stick with Nvidia.

You left Intel out of the motherboard list! How DARE you! I'd probly be the only one to vote for them ( )though, so i guess it doesn't really matter. :)

ASUS/MSI (Divided heart), ATi (just because it is something different), Nvidia by far.

This is a tough question now. It used to be Asus. But now there are great boards for every chipset built by different manufactuers. Asus may still make the best most reliable boards, but MSI, DFI, and Abit have made some pretty spiffy boards as well.

How in the hell do you leave out a company with as many ATX, mATX, SFF boards as Shuttle? They get my vote, I have used dozens of them for builds and never been let down.

2 more votes for Intel mobos!

Just glad I'm not the only idiot around here, just the only one who'll admit it, I guess ;)

If you're not into OCing, Intel mobos are great platforms for their own CPUs

I couldn't agree more. That was my preemptive idiot strike meant to negate any following "idiot" reply's from potential AMD fanboys that cannot see why an enthusiast would currently build an Intel rig for a gaming machine. I have no problem admitting that AMD gives you more bang for the buck, but money saved is not everything to me. Sorry for the confusion...

I don't blame the fanatics, though...it's not there fault they've been brainwashed by all these "reviews" and benchmark graphs, and whatnot.

Of course the information is always useful in general, it should never be the driving force behind all purchases though, IMO.
