I just "rested my eyes" for a good 20 minutes. Not intentionally. I feel slightly rejuvenated though mostly just as bored as before (even though I have work to do).

Anyone else ever done that?

Last spring/summer I was essentially working two full time jobs. 35 hours at one job, 40 at another. My primary job started at 5 AM & was frequently slow until 9 AM or so.

I spent a lot of time 1/2 asleep with a sweatshirt hood pulled down over my eyes.

Nobody really cared though, as long as I didn't make a habit of sleeping through my phone ringing (though it did happen a few times).

Depends on the circumstance. I didn't want people posting all kinds of sarcastic crap (I see M4H couldn't resist even though his sarcasm was exceptionally lame) like how they are doctors who work 48 hour shifts during which they sleep or that participate in sleep studies for a living.

Nope, though there were times when I really had to fight hard to stay awake. (for about a year, I was working 7 x 11.5 hour shifts back to back every other week. (7 on 7 off ..... 6pm - 6:30am).

several times. 3rd shift in a patrol car in the middle of nowhere gets really old and really boring, really fast.

I worked 12 hour night shifts for several years and never came close to falling asleep even once.

Perhaps you should look up the definition of sarcasm.

If anything, me posting a WearYellow link as a response to your thread is antagonism.

Or it's just a nef.

Not at work, but I feel asleep on the train yesterday on my way home from work and missed my stop. Looked like a fool when I got off the train and got into one right across it going the opposite direction.

I have to vote no due to the "inadvertently" in your poll.
Intentionally though is another matter. Between 2 and 4 is my set aside nap time unless i'm busy.
