POLL: Ever bought a book...

haha... not quite.
i bought a book once, brought it home, wanted to put it on the shelf for later, find the right slot for it (the books are neatly stored in alphabetical order), and whoops, there's the exact same book already there 😀

heh NOPE i have never done that. though i have checked one out of the library and noticed i have read it before

No, but I'm not as old as dirt like you are, so I can't rule out the possibility that it will happen.

There ya go.

I have read THOUSANDS of books over the years.

It's not THAT weird under the circumstances. 😉

Only intentionally, after I'd sold or given away my old copy and wanted to re-read it again. Quite a bit of David Darke's work stands up well to re-readng, as does Modesitt, Brust, Schmitz, EE "Doc" Smith, and Eddings.

Only to get it home, start reading it and realize you already read it?

I have.
Several times.

Yeah, i have, that is the bad part of being older and reading plenty of books, sooner or later you will not remember the book, until you are a few pages throught it...

No, but I thought I owned a book which I didn't (and never did) own; The Stand. A quick trip to barns&noble.com (or whatever) remedied that quickly 😀

I haven't answered the poll and i have no idea what WOULD be a good answer, i just figure rabbits and deers are nice. heh. but i had another thought when i wrote that i forgot it.

I haven't but I'm a bigger idiot. I voted yes because i didnt read the entire question and was like, "hell yea I've bought a book"

ah heck, I didn't read the question either.
The question should be stated in the poll as well as the thread.

You suck at polls.
