Poll: Easy CD Creator 4.0 or 5.0?

I'm using this in addition to the CloneCDs and the CDRWINs and other stuff, but sometimes EZ CD Creator is actually useful. I remember I had a problem with 5.0, but I can't remember what it was. I was also having other problems with my computer at the time, so it may have been related to that. Anyway, any opinions on the software are welcome!

i've also had problems with 5.0, i'd stick with 4 if i were you. of course, you should also look into other great burning programs , such as nero

I didn't like Nero when I used it be4. That was version 4. If version 5 is that much better, I'll try it.

EZCD 4.something here. Tried Nero once, didn't like it, haven't been able to talk myself into trying again.

What's "improved" about version 5 of EZ anyway? 4 burns CDs. Heck, 3 burns CDs. 2 probably did too. Version 1, who can remember?

I got 4 as a bundle with a burner and since it had mp3 to audio built in I thought it'd be handy. But since I burn so few mp3->audio CDs and the few I tried the conversion wasn't as good as just creating wavs from winamp, I don't use that anymore.

Nero supporters - what's it do that we need to have done?

I like 5. Never had a problem (yet). Before 5 I used 4.03, never had a problem with either for REGULAR burns. Now, backups are a different story 😉

I actually still use Easy CD Creator 3.5c

I have the 4.0, but I uninstalled it.

With 3.5 on my computer, I am able to right-click on a CD-ROM drive and it'll give me a session list. 4.0 took away that option. Enough reason for me to unistall it.

Version 5.0 managed to nuke both of my systems. Even without TakeTwo and applying the various patches and workarounds and fixes and yadda yadda yadda...

Seems tha 5.0 has serious issues with multi-drive SCSI systems. Especially when said system includes a ZIP drive or a LS120.

Either way... After the re-format and re-install of both boxes I put 4.02e on and life is good. Will I ever use 5.0??? Probably when Roxio gets it right. Until that day... 4.0 for me
