Rayovac. i did a science project back in like 6th grade on batteries, and Rayovac lasted the longest in my test...so i buy them. they are cheaper too. otherwise i use Duracell
Generally I feel that the regular energizers last longer than the regular duracells do, but now since there are all these duracell ultras and energizer titanium or energizer max I usually buy duracell ultras for things that are higher drain and regular energizers for low drain devices.
The answer is whatever rechargeable batteries are on sale...Between my cordless mouse, graphing caluclator, and digicam, I grow through batteries like crazy 🙂
I saw a battery lineup review once, and the duracell ultra batteries lasted way longer in an MP3 player than the others, including the energizer max and e2, and normal duracells. w00t!
What are you using them for? If it is a TV remote then get the cheapest thing you can find. The higher the drain a device has the better the battery you want to put in it for maximum life.
NiMH is the way to go. I got some Rayovac 1600's from Walmart with a recharger under $30. Would have gotten some 1800's from some place on the net everyone around here goes to, but I didn't feel like waiting. The 1600's work great with my Sony digital camera and MS wireless mousey.
