She rarely wears makeup ... doesn't need it IMO. She'll vamp occasionally if we're heading out on the town, but that is 1 or 2 times a year.

No way that chick uses Maybelline mascara....Maybelline anything for that matter.

My wife only uses eyeliner when she's getting really dolled up. It's too "severe."

I only use eyeliner when playing proscenium stages larger than 100 seats. Black boxes, thrusts, rounds and small houses it stands out too much. 🙂

exact same here. i frown upon it anyway... she puts on lipstick for weddings sometimes. no use covering up beauty.

I don't wear it. I don't like to use a lot of make-up!

All I wear is:

Lotion with SPF
Powder (very light)
Eye shadow (light and only on the lid, not up to the eyebrow)
Mascara (light)
Blistex
Sometimes I'll wear lipstick, but not often.

That is SO true. i doubt she has "drugstore" makeup on.

Question, do you just use foundation and blush then? what else on a smaller stage?

If it's small enough space, I often try to go without anything and hope the director doesn't say anything. 🙂 In my last show (Black box, 86 seats max) I got away with just some dirt.

Otherwise just foundation and blush and maybe lipstick if the director insists on it.
