I did the same. I also added a cdrw.

Then I thought "What's the point?" and took out the CDRW and 16X reader and put them in my back-up computer which is now at work.

I had a DVD Reader and replaced it with a DVD RW. Three machine s in the house have DVD capability. All new machines I spec for the office will have DVD readers instead of CDROMs.
