Poll: Does your (non-iPod) MP3 player work with iTunes?

I didn't know that you could use players other than the iPod with iTunes, but apparently you can.

Jason White writes "Today I plugged a Creative Labs Muvo NX (Model DAP-TD0002) to transfer files using the USB interface. File transfer was fast using the USB interface, I had forgot to unplug the player and opened iTunes to listen to some music. To my surprise on the left hand side, Creative Muvo appeared. Clicking on the device, I had options to format it and I then was able to drag music files within iTunes and it transfered the files perfectly. Does this mean Apple has included support for other solid state players as well? This is a great alternative if you can't afford a pricey iPod."

iTunes supports non-iPods... On MacOS. Not on Windows.
Yeah, I found this out later. (Thread resurrected from the dead.)

The software supported several players before Apple bought it out, and Apple kept the compatibility intact on Mac OS X as they further developed the software.

However, when Apple ported it to Windows, they apparently didn't bother including compatibility for anything but the iPod. I suppose they did this because 1) It'd be too much work and 2) They want to sell iPods.
