It doesn't allow you to pump your own gas. Ergo, it must suck.

ZV

No kidding. being an Ohio boy, I stopped at a gas station when I went that way to visit my friend, started pumping on my own, and some guy runs up to me and is like "uhh... you can get back in your car" and I look at him like "riiiighhhttt... why?" and he looks at my plates and he says "We do this for you around here." and then I said "Yeah, but I'm not paying you to do it." Then he let me finish.

The next time I stopped, a guy was waiting for me. When he finished pumping, he topped it off, and it went to like $15.09 and dribbled on my car. Assclown. I paid him $15, he said "and 9 cents?" and I said "Doesn't count if it doesn't make it in to the tank" and pointed to the small puddle that had trickled down my car. Then he acted shocked like he didn't notice, and wiped my car off. He still didn't get the 9 cents, but I'm sure he got the point.

I'm pretty sure most of you haven't seen or even been to NJ except by watching the Soprano's or something.

Either that or you drove up and down the Turnpike or the GSP and that's about it.

I'm pretty sure your POS state has whether it be Bum Fvck Alabama or Virginia for that matter, has fvcked up cities or towns and what not.

I've visted VA, NC, and those places have absolutely nothing to do. Talk about a sh!thole. Those are the places where I'd go to retire and die eventually.

I've been to Jersey. My grandparents live there, my uncle lives there and my Dad grew up there. It sucks. I'd never want to live there. Most of the people I know who've lived there moved somewhere else. So, yes...I would say that NJ sucks.

I've never been to NC or VA (been through VA years ago though) but I'm sure they suck also.

They've got the most rabid traffic cops in the country. The highways are literally saturated with cop cars that look hard for us out-of-staters to ticket and harass. I fought a routine traffic ticket several years ago and it took 14 MONTHS before I could even get a court date. I think they ticket so fanatically that the system can't keep up. Hmmm, any wonder why car insurance in Jersey is the highest in the nation?
No doubt... and racial profiling epidemic is supposedly over... riiiiiight

You went to school in West Virginia ... you have no right to complain about any other state.

-=K=-

That's right. When I see or hear the words West Virginia, the movie "Deliverance" comes to mind. 😉

Quote from a synopsis of the movie Deliverance:

Two rifle-wielding mountain men (Billy McKinney and Herbert "Cowboy" Coward) emerge from the woods, tying up Ed while one of them rapes Bobby and makes him "squeal like a pig." Lewis and Drew rescue them, but the attack irrevocably changes the tenor of the journey. As the river gets rougher and rougher, the men come to nightmarish grips with what it means to survive outside the safety net of "civilization."

GO BERGEN COUNTY. Second richest county in the country!

Example of some homes here

If it was a sh!thole, it wouldn't cost this much money to live here!

I voted "Yes" in the hopes that it will keep more of you losers off of my beaches.

I did the same thing 😀 . I don't want people to know about the really great things in New Jersey. Like, yesterday I was up at High Point and it was awesome - the leaves are about perfect now, the view was amazing even though it wasn't all that clear - and there were maybe 3 people up there. Contrast that to the masses of traffic, tourists, etc up in New England in leaf season . . .

Oops. Oh yeah, New Jersey sucks. The traffic, the prices, the whiners, the Sopranos, pollution - yeah. Go somewhere else, please.

wow! two whole bad experiences!

Just with pumping gas.... the two whole times I had to fill up.

You do realize that people do other things than pumping gas and I'm not about to type a full report on things, right?

Not all of NJ is trash. There are some counties in NJ that are completely the opposite in compared to places like New Brunswick and Trenton. Mostly because the populous is so diverse.

You got your farmers, got your poor or economically challenged, you got your rich, got your upper middle class, then you got of course, Camden.

But yes, New Jersey sucks as a whole. Crappy economy(like every other state right now), high insurance or even no insurance, high local taxes, high death rate, plagued with crime and filth, car accidents, traffic, high housing costs, and we don't have Spring.

the best part about New Jersey is that there are so few Californians here...
The best thing about California is that nobody from New Jersey is there. Maybe that is why it smells so nice.
People actually move to California. Who in their right mind would move to new Jersey?

What's with the gas pumping deal there? WTF kind of dumbass law is that?
I've been told it's to stop "untrained" gas pumpers from spilling gas. Hah. It's really just a way to decrease unemployment.

Oh, and the only good thing about NJ is that some parts are near Manhattan. But getting across the Hudson can be hell... it once took me 3 hours to get from downtown to Newark Airport because of a "hazardous materials bridge strike". 😕

Needless to say, I missed my international flight. But the British Airways staff were really nice and understanding... and there was another flight that day. 🙂

And yes, Bilgewater sucks. I'm why the school is a star school. And then they go and trash the servers we set up and replace them with less functional crap that costs many times as much. So there. 😛
