Yes, I came to terms with that a few days ago. I co-worker told me so...but she did say I was a cool nerd :cool:

Meh.

Most people say yes but then they go watch something like American Idol or Survivor.

I'd rather be a nerd then a moron.

no.

i like a few anime, but i'm no nerd.

....especially considering that i don't like star trek/star wars/<insert other popular geek shows and movies i'm not aware of>

i must be the only physics major who doesn't watch star trek.

maybe, anime is being mainstreamized these days. if you were a fan 10 years ago, yeah, you probably are a nerd. :)

oh yeah, live anime musicals rule. :D

edit: oh, and most cosplayers are dork/nerds. :)

If anime-fan = nerd, does being staff at an anime convention = uber-nerd? I've still got my t-shirt from AnimExpo 92 or 93. :)

Is being a nerd really that bad? Maybe it's all in the semantics, but I figured being a nerd meant you had to be pretty smart... Maybe this is getting off topic, but what's everyone's definition of a nerd?

Anime people sometimes scare me. Like when those big fat hairy white guys dress up in little dresses. Yeah, that can get nerdy, because they are so obsessed with it. I say yes, only because people who tend to like anime, tend to like it a lot.

<sully> [Wise words by ups^work] The amount of anime one has is directly proportional to how much of a loser he/she is.

Complexity, intensity, and cutting-edgeity have no bearing on nerdiness.

I don't know if it has anything to do with nerdiness, but is certainly brings into question your entertainment preferences.

Anime = suck.
