POLL: Does a company deserve negative reseller ratings for a PRICE MISTAKE?

This thread was a deal for a 18" LCD for $216. It was a pricemistake and like most price mistakes the deal wasn't honored and orders were cancelled. Of course, people got whiny and bitchy when their orders were cancelled. Noobs cried out and a few people mentioned that the store deserved low reseller ratings for not honoring the price.

Do you think the store deserves it?

I don't think so, btw.

edit: Looks like their ratings have fallen: TechonWeb's reseller ratings

btw, the company has decent reseller ratings so i think it sucks that it's going to be tarnished because of a mistake 🙁

To quote the other agent from The Matrix:
"Only human."
Of course he got his head blown off immediately after, but we'll overlook that.

It depends on how they handle the situation...

I choose 'maybe'

Hell no.

I ordered an LCD too (well, 2 actually) & my order was cancelled.

Just like I expected to be, but just like the lottery you can't win if you don't play.

Best part is this lottery is free, just reduces my available credit for a few days.

No harm done.

No. Everybody knows these price mistakes are too good to be true, that they have to be a mistake, but they run after them anyway and then get mad when they're denied.

exactly. if you've been around the Hot Deals forums a while, you'll know that price mistakes occur often. it sucks for TechonWeb that their ratings went down because of this. Their ratings before the incident were very high.
