POLL: Do you use spare change ?

My wallet has a little pocket for spare change and I always use it ...

My brother keeps it in his pocket till he gets home ... and throws it in a box ... must be at least $100 in coins in there by now... WTF ?! I must admit carrying loose change in your pocket is a problem, but how else can you deal with it ?

But what if you go out on the town at night... not in your car... you buy some food... it comes to $4.27 ... if you had 27 cents in addition to use, you would be getting a whole dollar back for your $5 bill instead of all the coins that you apparently won't use... then you would've wasted a dollar here... and obviously more when you consider you do this your whole life...

If I have 27¢ I'll use it.

I use it all the time... mostly getting a coffee and muffin in the morning... sometimes at the vending machines here at work too.

I usually let my kids have it. They put it in their banks. Have not realized that it builds up to be a good sum of money.

I hoard it all. Someday, the people are going to realize that bills are just paper and worthless and will demand physical substance in the currency. When that happens, I will be rich!

Goes in a jar. When the jar is full (usually around $200), I spend it on something fun.

The jar doesn't fill up very fast like it used to, since I rearely use cash anymore.

same. its a good feeling also when you sift through the change, and realize you have enough in there to pay for the meal, as opposed to using the cash in your wallet. its like finding money in old pants pockets.

i keep it all in a jar and take it to bank about once a year.

just deposited $500 last month.

Same here, had $300 about 2 months ago. I consider it my computer fund, bought a 9700 pro with that last bit. This way the wife can't bitch about me "wasting" money on the computer.

smart guy. i keep mine in a jar too, it's gonna be some of the funds for the stuff my girlfriend and i have planned out this summer.

I keep it in a glass jug, and roll it up and deposit it at the credit union when it is full. Most I have ever had at once from the jug is $450.00 or so.

If I have some change on me and I have an opportunity to use it I will. Otherwise it goes into a jar at home.
