POLL: Do you use dual monitors?

I recently upgraded my video card, put an adapter on the DVI output to another VGA moniter I replaced with my new 17" Samsung 175v lcd.

Being that Im on vacation, on Tuesday Im going to have Scottrade running on one screen and Anandtech running on the primary.

Its kind of wierd since I havent fiddled with this before, getting used to having video output over two different screens.

What do you have? What do you use it for?

In a way its kind of ackward having two moniters, so I might just put the other one away after testing.

Yeah, I use 2. I know what you mean...at first it seems really weird. But once you get used to it, it's hard to live without it. Personally, I have kind of a "work" monitor and a "play" monitor. All my IMs and Winamp go on the left monitor, while I work on the internet & word processing stuff on the right. It really makes things a lot easier.

As of 2 days ago I'm running a 19" LCD and a 15" monitor. Best use I can see so far is #neochat on the 15" while I'm playing a game on the 19". Works great.

I find it extremely hard to work on single monitor computers now though.

Yeah, 19" CRT main and a 17" LCD for my secondary running off a Geforce FX 5900U. The CRT is used for gaming (Xbox and PC) while the CRT is used for browsing and misc. programs that I like to keep an eye on. My LCD also doubles as a TV.

Dual Samsung 955DF-T/T's (19") now, one from a 9800 and the other from a 9100. Changing the 9100 to a 9000 so I can add a third this summer. I'm with M4H on this one. Oh, and for all of you babies who cant find the deskspace... I'm in a dorm. Drink up :beer:

19" CRT and a 17" LCD. Very handy setup to have while working. I doubt I'd ever go to triple monitors; two is great and I wouldn't want to go back to just one, but I don't think I could honestly find a use for a third.

I once had 2 21" crts hooked up w/ 2 17" fps and 2 15" fps on top. Me and my friends got bored. It was cool, not as cool as the setup from swordfish tho

Yeah, I extend the Windows desktop of my laptop on a second monitor at work. Only problem is when I forget to turn it off, and Windows opens still on the second monitor when it isn't plugged in
